Christian Moral Principles was designed as a textbook for a two-semester course in fundamental moral theology. For one-semester courses, some teachers needed a shorter and more readable presentation. Germain Grisez and Russell Shaw, a professional writer, met that need by writing Fulfillment in Christ: A Summary of Christian Moral Principles, which tracks the bigger book chapter by chapter but is only about one-third as long.
